Hand-lettered Christian calligraphy artwork, Joy to the world, Joy to the world the Lord is come!

This landscape oriented piece is of Joy to the world and begins with: "Joy to the world the Lord is come!" The piece is based on the classic (Hymn) written by Isaac Watts (1674 - 1748) and was inspired by Psalm 98. The calligraphy and artwork were done entirely by hand - without the aid of a computer.

The piece was hand lettered with a Foundational variation lettering style, in a cadmium red medium gouache ink. The illustration depicts Border done using splatter brush; goose quill used for bolder strokes.
